Legal representation at the National Labor Court - Opening a case

The legal hearing between the employer and the employee takes place in the regional labor court, where the verdict is given.

The ruling given in the Regional Labor Court can be appealed to the National Labor Court.

In order to file an appeal against the Regional Labor Court ruling, you must travel to Jerusalem for the National Labor Court. Opening the case at the court can take up an entire day of travel.

There are five regional labor courts throughout the country: a regional labor court in Jerusalem, a regional labor court in Haifa, a regional labor court in Tel Aviv, a national regional labor court in Be'er Sheva, and a regional labor court in Nazareth.

The Jerusalem Regional Labor Court serves the residents of Jerusalem and the surrounding area. A distinction must be made between the National Labor Court in Jerusalem and the Jerusalem Regional Labor Court. Labor claims in the localities of Judea and Samaria are heard in the Jerusalem Regional Labor Court. When there is a legal dispute between the Labor Federation and various bodies, the parties must go to the National Labor Court to open a case.

Residents of the Central and Lower regions up to Ashdod and Ashkelon who wish to file a claim in the Labor Court submit the claim to the Regional Labor Court in Tel Aviv.

There are 2 labor courts in the northern region: a regional labor court in Haifa and a regional labor court in Nazareth. The regional labor court in Haifa serves the residents of Haifa and the suburbs. The regional labor court in Nazareth serves the residents of the Upper Galilee as well as the residents of the Arab villages and towns in the Galilee.

The Eilat Regional Labor Court serves the residents of the south. Residents of Beersheba, Kiryat Gat, Kiryat Malachi, Sderot, and all the settlements, kibbutzim, and moshavim in the south litigate in the Eilat Labor Court.

Any local labor claim is heard in a regional labor court of that location. Any appeals against the rulings of the regional labor courts are heard exclusively in the National Labor Court located in Jerusalem.
